Obviously the Morlocks allows the Eloi to live on the earth, as they themselves don't want to do it. They had lived in the darkness for such a long time that they prefer it.

But who was it, who exiled them there in the beginning? Have the Eloi once been the ruling race? And are the Morlocks the ruler now?

Weena don't know.
I know that you don't know, my dear stupid little child.

The next day Weena and I went away on a long walk.
I am afraid of the Morlocks too, but I am not helpless. I am a man. I will fight with them.

The matches are the best weapon, but I haven't any left. I must find some another weapon.
