In the beginning I pressed the lever forward just a little.
Had anything happened?

I noted the clock.
I've been moving five hours forward.

Then I drew a breath, set my teeth, gripped the starting lever with my both hands and went off into the future.

The day turned into night, and in the next moment it was dawn again. Night followed day like the flapping of a black wing.

The sensation of time travelling is excessively unpleasant. There is a feeling of helpless headlong motion.
