chess game part II
And now the conclusion of the game between Borim Luneshar and Harvey Mayo! Harvey Mayo flinches... Frn: Harvey Mayo Mr. Luneshar, My clients information is private, So I would rather not put them in that position, please understand. The model I did for the client in London, is the most recent, although I have done another item for him as well. I don't have ongoing Time Machine orders, so their can be a gap in between. I usually work on film or other models for other industries, etc., Time Machines are special items only, it is a limited market. So Borim, again the choice is yours, do what is best for you, Thanks again, Harvey ...but he is not beaten yet... Frn: Harvey Mayo Mr. Luneshar, I have another idea for you, if you sent me only 30% deposit($1,050), to start, that would be OK, but after I complete 50% of the model, then sent me the other 20%. Then after I am 75% complete then sent me another 25%. The balance then paid on completion, per your approval of the work. How does this idea work for you, then your not paying too much up front to start. I am trying to be fair with you, so you can get your model. Let me know, so that I can begin, Thanks, Harvey Now it's Borim's turn... Frn: Borim Luneshar Mr. Harvey, I only wanted to ask the clients about their Time Machine models, nothing more -- I swear to God and my family's honor! Without references I have great difficulties to send you money -- even 30% deposit($1,050) is a month wage for me. For me it is also strange that you have not built any Time Machine models since the London client's model. You could have build at least three of them an then sell them on Ebay! And it is also very strange that you haven't an ongoing inventory of materials for the Time Machine models. If you want to, I can find some materials for you! Tell me what you need for the model and I will send it to you! But this means I must go down with the payment for the model to $2,500, because I must ask my girlfriend to get the materials you need! Sincerely Harvey tries to dodge out of this... Frn: Harvey Mayo Mr. Luneshar, I do not give out information about another client, the picture I emailed to you should speak for itself. I only build Time Machines by order, I do not want to mass produce them to sell on Ebay, for then they would have less value. What makes the value is also a limited number of models. My supplies is bought when I have an order to construct one, I have some supplies always, like hardwood, brass, copper, etc., but their is always additional materials needed, when I start a new model, but that is my concern, not yours. Thank you for the offer, but I am the only one who knows what I need. I think we have been around in many circles with this model, I think you need to decide what you want to do, you keep bringing up the money, maybe you can't afford this model, don't feel bad, their are resin kits of the Time Machine available, and they are very cheap, that might be better for you at this time, although the quality is not the same as my models. It was good to talk with you about Time Machine, let me know how you made out, Thanks, Harvey Of course Harvey do not want to talk about his clients. They are either deceived ones or simply not existing! And he also doesn't want any materials for the model! Now Borim drops the bomb upon Harvey: Frn: Borim Luneshar Mr. Mayo, a resin kit like Lunar Model kit will not have a dish that spins and lights that blinks. My girlfriend already offered one for me which she has assembled and hand-painted. It is beautiful, but I want the real thing of metal and wood, and for your help I did google out some potential customers which I think recieved a model from you. I have their email addresses, only tell me if they are familiar, if they are not I will try to google out three others: Chris Perrotta in
California, USA I wish you good luck! I think Harvey is got to be check-mate. Just click on the names above and see! They're all deceived ones! Harvey tries to do one last move... Frn: Harvey Mayo Borim, If you check with Lunar Model, you can buy an accessory kit to drive the wheel, and I also think you can get lights for the control panel, so this might be your best bet, and you will surly save money, which I know you want to!. I think you should go that way. and plus, you won't have to wait for my model, it will be faster. Thanks for your interest, and good luck to you, and always remember, "you have all the time in the world". Harvey ...but he is beaten!
He is check-mate! He will not even MENTION the above three deceived clients! Frn: Borim Luneshar Thank you, Harvey, for the tip and don't forget to deliver the Time Machine
models and Tantalus boxes to all your deceived clients or return their
money! Yes I have all the time in the world as you say, but YOU doesn't...
End of game
Epilogue: I was contacted by my client to construct a miniature Time Machine model, like the one used in the 1960 Film The Time Machine. I asked my client if she wanted a working or a non-working model, she decided on a non-working version. I told my client that I would try to complete the model as fast as I could, for I still had to work on my regular projects as well, and I am a one-man business, so some of my regular projects keep me away from working on the miniature. I had alot of delays trying to work on The Time Machine model, and my client was getting very upset because of the delays, but I told her I would not sacrafice quality to rush the completion. After their were so many delays, I told my client that I would make up for making her wait so long for completion, by building her a working model instead of the non-working one she ordered for 1,800. I normally charged at least double the amount for a working model, but I felt that would please her, and surly make-up for my delays, but I guess that was not enough. The model will be shipped to my client next week. Hand made models like The Time Machine take a lot of time to construct, and I guess that should have been mentioned all the time I was working on her model, but I did not want to discourage her, for I know she would be happy in the end with a great model. Off Report: Harvey Mayo
And now to the most DANGEROUS part: Harvey DOES make models to a FEW carefully selected clients, this to make sure that he can swindle much more clients for one few selected, because the FEW selected will claim that he/she already GOT a model with SATISFACTION! All this to make WAR against the deceived ones with the help of the few selected ones in discussion forums! This part below is from Francois in Canada aka "timemachinewells": Could I be the other person waiting for a model from Harvey ? Well, that would be amazing, wouldnt it ? Because I have known Harvey for over eleven years and have been in touch with him all this time. Harvey answers all my faxes letters and emails and also has called me countless times over the years even though I reside in Canada all at his expense. So, if I am indeed that other person, that would seem to very much contradict your claim that he wont talk to anyone after one has placed an order, wouldnt it ? And, if that were so, well maybe it would mean the problem may lie with your attitude, wouldnt it ? One thing for sure: if you address him the way you address me, no wonder he would want to avoid talking to you. In a private email to me you said that Harvey talks to me because I live far away and therefore am no threat to him. Yet as I mentioned - I have an acquaintance that DID get a model from Harvey in 2002 and just got ANOTHER one in mid-December. (He confirmed it to me on December 21st.) Interestingly, this acquaintance lives in Europe several thousand more miles from Harvey than I do. Seems to me according to your theory (as you outlined in your email) that this collector should have been a prime target; yet he has received not one but two models so far ! And then below on the same page, from the same nickname posted in January 27, 2007: I have talked with Harvey Mayo at length regarding this situation over the last few months and he has reiterated that everyone who has ordered a model from him will indeed receive it. He stated to me that he plans to complete most of his remaining orders this year. As to Frankies model, Harvey has repeated that his offer to put the finishing touches on it stands and that his Tantalus will also be completed. In this respect, I have suggested in order to get an impartial record of the procedure that Don take pictures of the before and after condition of Frankies model if that can be arranged. (I already have shots of Frankies model as dated December 9, 2006 where the model appears to be 95% completed.) The procedure would go as follows: Frankie would return his model to Don for him to photograph. Harvey would then pick up the model and complete it and bring it back to Don for him to photograph again in its completed state. The model would then be packed in Dons presence. The packaging would be photographed and the model shipped back to Frankie. This way there would be an impartial record that shows the model has been completed and returned. His Tantalus will also be completed and photographed the same way. As to TymerCs model and Tantalus, since he stated to me in a private email that he no longer wants to have them, I am hereby offering to buy both from him as soon as they are completed and at the price he paid ($2400.) If anybody else has ordered a model from Harvey, they can contact me and I will bring up their situation with him and will then follow Harveys progress and report on it. Source: Don Colemans Harvey Mayo warning pages Remember: Borim posted
his letter in MAY, 2007, asking for images of RECENTLY made models, but
Harvey claims that he DIDN'T built any models since December 2004!
N.B.: If Harvey Mayo makes and delivers all his wanted Time Machine models and Tantalus boxes or returns all the money to all the deceived ones, and also promises not to swindle anyone else -- I vill remove these warning pages. Until then... ...don't forget to click on the Net as you will click on this 14:th century Erkelzaarian lampoon portrait of the Matebian sun-emperor above -- which in this particular case is the spitting image of Harvey Mayo and what he thinks about the deceived ones -- or else you will not see the whole picture!
